Vote for me and I'll fight for you!

Have you ever heard a politician say that? Every election season you hear these politicians stand up and promise to fight for you and make your life better, as long as you vote for them. Politicians will come and go, but Jesus will not. He will always be our supreme leader and there will be no end to his reign.

As believers, we can easily fall into looking to a man or a woman for help, but we need to remember that our help comes from the Lord.

The political climate that we live in is so intense but we must look to God in this season and get direction and wisdom from him. He is our source. He is our help in times of trouble. He is everything. When we seek Him we will find him when we see him with all our hearts.

We don’t look to a human for our help.

We look to God!

We must pray for those in authority over us because God uses men to carry out his plans on earth. We should just never look to or put man over God.

Breaker Conference Recap:

At the end of October, we hosted an event called “Breaker” in Sanford Florida. It was a three-day event where we invited God to encounter us. We literally desired to host Jesus, who is the breaker. John 8:32 says, “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” Later on in John 8:36, it says, “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”

When we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we also receive all the breakthroughs that he gave us when he died on the cross. John 10:10 says the enemy seeks to kill steal and destroy. Many believers are bound by mindsets and strongholds and a belief system that is contrary to the Word of God.

During this event, we saw so many people get set free from rejection, fear, low self-worth, anxiety, depression, despair, and disappointment, and ultimately were given a revelation of who their heavenly Father truly is. The true breakthrough took place... It was amazing!

National Adoption Month:

National Adoption Month is about spreading awareness. It is a month to encourage others to learn about adoption and to acknowledge the people in this country whose lives have been impacted by adoption. The mission of National Adoption Month is to celebrate the families who have grown through adoption and to recognize the many children who are still waiting for forever families.

OneFamily works to train the Church to raise up and support families. Our goal is for every child or sibling group to find a temporary home through foster care or a forever home through adoption.

Am I Special?

In honor of National Adoption Month, purchase copies of Am I Special? by Stephen Hogue. It is a wonderfully illustrated book that teaches kids about the amazing world of adoption. It focuses on one day in the life of a precious little girl named Josie. Josie is five years old and learning new things every day. She learned from her family that ordinary things around the house are "special." After finding out what special means, she wonders if she is special because she was adopted. She comes to find out that she wasn't abandoned; she was chosen.

NEW Book! Building Arrows:

Psalms 127 is a great guide in building your children to be arrows for the Lord. This book will go deep into what it means to build your arrows in such a way that they will do damage to the enemy - the devil, and his army. Great wisdom and truth in raising kids can be found in God‘s word, and Psalm 127 is no exception.

Our goal is to shape our children and raise them to be powerful warriors for the Lord. This is not an option; it is our God-given responsibility!

Stand Sunday, 2022:

Stand Sunday is a day created for churches to acknowledge foster children and was launched out of Orphan Sunday, the historical day commemorating orphans all over the world. It’s a day for Christians to be made aware of the plight of the orphan and given ways to get involved. Each event is locally-led. Sermons and small groups, concerts and prayer gatherings, shared meals and youth activities—each rousing believers with God’s call to care for the orphan, and what we can do in response. If you would like ideas or resources, including sermon notes, videos, printable materials, and ideas for youth and children's ministry, please click the button below. If you would like us to speak at your church, or share resources/ideas with you, please contact us at OneFamilyFL.com/Contact
