Is There Not a Cause?

Updated: Sep 15, 2022

Is there not a cause? These words spoken by David, in his response to the great enemy of Israel, Goliath, rising up in defiance against them and against their God. At the same time David is seeing the inaction and the fear of his people.

He stood firmly in the middle of those two groups asking the question Is there not a cause? We are living in extremely volatile times, but also I believe the greatest time to be alive. With the recent overturning of Roe v. Wade and the great onslaught of the enemy on the next generation and on our families, we must realize that there is a definite cause and reason to be actively pursuing the kingdom of God at this time. In the book of Esther we see that Esther was born “for such a time as this”. We are here in this moment- not to be consumed by entertainment, the American dream, or just pursuing a life focused on self. It is time for the Church to arise. It’s time for us to fight through prayer, fasting and declaring the Word of God regarding the last few verses of the Old Testament. Turning the hearts of children to the Fathers and Fathers to the children. This Elijah mandate is on the Church. This cause is very important and must not be overlooked. Our cause is to see families healed. When the families are healed, the communities are healed.

Thank you for supporting OneFamily because this is our cause, to see families flourish. When you pray for us, support financially, or stand with us in any way, you are being part of the solution. You are a part of a movement in these last days to see God pour out His Spirit, bring revival, and bring healing to this land. You are a vital part of this ministry. Together we will see the Body of Christ be moved with compassionate action to care for kids in foster care and support those who do.

In honor of National Adoption Month coming up in November, purchase copies of Am I Special. It is a wonderfully illustrated book that teaches kids about the amazing world of adoption. It focuses on one day in the life of a precious little girl named Josie. Josie is five years old and learning new things every day. She learned from her family that ordinary things around the house are "special." After finding out what special means, she wonders if she is special, because she was adopted. She comes to find out that she wasn't abandoned; she was chosen.

Join Sandra Hogue for a FREE book study each month as she will dissect Karyn Purvis' well known book: The Connected Child, for parents who have welcomed children from other countries and cultures, from troubled backgrounds, and/or with behavioral or emotional needs. It is also recommended for church leaders, teachers, or anyone who works with children from 'hard places'.

The Connected Child will help you:

  • Build bonds of affection and trust with your foster/adopted child

  • Effectively deal with any learning or behavioral disorders

  • Discipline your child with love without making him or her feel threatened

It is recommended that you purchase the book. However, it is NOT required to participate on the ZOOM call.
