2020. It came and went so quickly. It was also slow. As a family, we grew closer together. We spent more time together. The quarantining was a blessing in disguise. We prayed more. We worshipped. We spent several weekends serving hot meals and giving groceries to families who were desperate. We saw the miracles of provision. Health. Family. Redemption. Our two adult children moved back home, obtained employment, and getting back on their feet. Our oldest daughter moved back after an 18-month residential program for teens. Our family was restored in 2020!
For us, 2020 was about simplicity. It was about FAMILY. For Hogue Ministries, Inc., 2020 looked a little different. In the spring, we delivered Promise packs, cleaning supplies, gift cards, toys, books, toiletries to several foster families in need. One mom of six recently got her kids back from foster care and we were able to provide her a refrigerator, bed, house supplies, pots and pans, food, etc. Follow-up calls showed all the families that people of God care. ALL of them were open to hearing about the Good News of Jesus and allowed us to pray with them. In November, we helped 14 foster families with food. And we told them that it was God and His people making it happen. At Christmastime, 64 children in relative care received a $50 gift card and EVERY family heard about the TRUE meaning of Christmas. THANK YOU for your generous giving in 2020! It is because the people of God continue giving, that we were able to disseminate goods and supplies to foster families and relative caregivers! 2021 looks even better!!
